I was just diagnosed last week with Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder. I knew that something was wrong over the past several months around my menstrual cycle, but I would push it to the back of my mind by thinking I was just being overdramatic.
I have been experiencing extreme symptoms to where I can’t function 1 – 2 weeks before my cycle starts. My hormones have been going crazy and I needed to talk to the doctor. Due to the severity of my symptoms, she has prescribed Sanafem, which is a form of Prozac, for me to take two weeks before my cycle starts.
