Patients & Advocates Urged to Participate in Washington, D.C.

The CFS Advisory Meeting scheduled for May 5th & 6th in Washington, D.C. is open to the public and patients and advocates are being urged to attend this open meeting.

The meeting hours will be from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on both days and the meeting will be held at:

  • Department of Health and Human Services
    Room 800 Hubert H. Humphrey Building
    200 Independence Avenue, SW.
    Washington, DC 20201
  • Space is limited for public attendance, so seats are available on a first come first serve basis.

    The agenda for the meeting is still being worked on, but you can keep checking the CFSAC Website for updates.

    CFS patients and advocates who would like to participate by offering brief comments during the public comment session must preregister by May 1, 2008 by calling
    202-401-7605.

    The Committee is very interested to hear about experiences that individuals with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome have had interfacing with the medical community. In addition, the Committee welcomes specific comments on issues surrounding Chronic Fatigue Syndrome research, provider education, and quality of life. Public comment will be limited to five minutes per speaker.
