The CFIDS Association of America’s 2006 Lobby Day (14th year)in Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill will be held this year on May 8th – 9th.
I am hoping to be well enough to do this this year! I would love to be a part of history!
If you attend, you will be talking with lawmakers and their staff about funding for CFIDS research, disability and education issues, and treatment and care centers. The first day will be a training session and all first-time advocates will be paired up with seasoned advocates. The second day will be the actual lobbying that you will attend with your seasoned advocate assigned to you!
There will also be a “virtual lobby day” through the CFIDS link and Grassroot Action Center, http://capwiz.com/cfids/home/ for those who are unable to attend but still would like to be involved to augment the impact of what advocates accomplish on Capitol Hill.
