Busy Week Lies Ahead!

This coming Saturday is the spaghetti dinner benefit I am sponsoring to help raise money for my BIL’s cancer treatments. You can view the blog I am keeping to journal his cancer journey at Fighting For Mike. It doesn’t seem possible that it will be this coming Saturday night already! It just seems like yesterday that my stepdaughter and I started planning this event.

Last week was a crazy week with the holiday and Sunday was the biggest toy show of the year that we do so I am exhausted today. I plan to take it easy this week and only do what I absolutely have to, as I want to be in tip top shape for my BIL’s dinner Saturday.

I do have some things to finish up this week for the dinner but most of that is computer work so it won’t be so bad. I can’t wait to see the turnout that we have and I am nervous, too!

He is now on his second type of chemotherapy treatments and with this one he will most likely lose his hair. The last chemo treatment he had was an experimental kind and unfortunately, it did not work so now he is going for round 2 and a different form of chemo. He’s a fighter and has a great attitude so we have a lot of hope for him!

I have a feeling it will turn out extremely well. Let us know and take care of yourself.
