Vitamin D Deficiency

When I was at the F & F Center last week meeting with the doctor regarding my blood work, he mentioned that I have a serious Vitamin D deficiency that needed to be treated ASAP.  I was surprised when I found out what all Vitamin D deficiency causes. Vitamin D can be obtained through foods and sunlight.

The doctor said that Vitamin D deficiency can cause extreme fatigue, muscle and joint pain and it can lead to serious illnesses such as cancer, MS, rheumatoid arthritis and autoimmune diseases.

The doctor put me on a very high supplmentation of a product the F & F Center produces called Bone Health that I am to take twice a day.  Hopefully this will increase my levels.

Here is a site that discusses Vitamin D Deficiency from the Vitamin D Council.

Good news to see someone else catching on to this important Vitamin D3 issue: I inevitably ask every single person if they suffer from fatigue or SAD. You would be interested in the comments from the tanning booth guy.

You might be interested in more details about dosage and levels over at this post:

Also very interested in chronic fatigue from an adrenal insufficiency perspective and have several posts on that subject as well.

What I find amazing and appreciate your blog for is that these chronic conditions are often identified as “head jobs,” and yet with brain imaging and good labs we can see real evidence, and better address the problems rather than simply treating for depression or ADD.

One other point your readers would likely appreciate: Many who look like simple ADD also suffer from chronic fatigue, and often they come into the office overdosed on stimulant meds. The “cure” gets them through the day and the massive crash comes at night – near paralysis.

I will send a post on that one soon.

    Great action over here, thanks.

Hi Chuck! Thanks for stopping by! I will be checking out your site!

Adrenal insufficiency is a big part of CFS. I am currently on hormones for this.
