Update On My Brother-In-Law

My brother-in-law found out that he definitely has a tumor in his esophagus, at the opening to the stomach.  He has been unable to eat much because he will vomit food back up, so he pretty much has to eat stuff like ice cream in order to keep it down.  He goes again this week to have some type of scan where they will put dye in to see if the cancer is in his lymph nodes.  The doctor told him that if it is in the lymph nodes, there isn’t anything they can do for him.  Anyone reading this, plesae say a prayer for my brother-in-law and his family.  He and his family are very near and dear to us and to many others.

so they said the tumor was cancerous?? God I’m so sorry Sandy. I’ll pray for your brother.
Are they able to remove the tumor surgically? Is chemo not an option if it’s in his lymph nodes?

PC, My sister-in-law told me that they can treat with radiation/chemo as long as it is not in the lymph nodes. If it is in the lymph nodes, there isn’t anything they can do. Thank you for the prayers! I have only been a part of this family now for 12 years, but I feel as though he and my sister-in-law are my blood family, not just in-laws.

Oh, gosh. My prayers are with your brother-in-law and your entire family. My husband was just diagnosed with colon cancer, so I know a little of what you’re all going through. Prayers and positive thinking do a lot more than anyone can realize. Best of luck to all of you.

I too will keep them in my prayers. It’s heartbreaking.
