Rosacea

I was first diagnosed with having Rosacea almost 10 years ago, at the age of 27.  Throughout that time, my symptoms on my face have waxed and waned, depending on the amount of stress I have been under, what foods I have eaten, what other health problems I’ve had, etc.

For the first few years when my Rosacea was severe, my face would itch so bad, be extremely dry in the areas from my cheeks and across my nose.  Foundation and other makeup would also make my face terribly itchy.

Now my Rosacea is acting up a lot again, and the itching and burning is back, along with the itching with makeup on.  I’m going to call a local dermatologist today and see if I can get an appointment – maybe try some skin care through her that works.

I just broke out with rosacea three and a half months ago. Right after a colonoscopy. I’ve had CFS for 15 years. I also was extremely upset about something… Okay my daughter moved out and i pretty much had a nervous breakdown about it in addition to really disliking her new boyfriend. Anyway, I no longer believe in colonoscopies. I think they disrupt your immune system too much. I’ve had different opinions on this theory of mine. Anyway, some people believe it’s a mite that causes the problem and I think rosacea flares when your immune system is down. I’d noticed my cheeks looking funny for a while but never thought it was a skin condition(maybe just needed a change in my make-up). Took prescription gel but didn’t like the super slow progress if any after a week. Now the wierd part. Last night after researching on the net washed with Borax. Yes, the laundry soap. My skin looked better immediately. (I also rinsed with hydrogen peroxide) Hope this helps someone. I also read that Apple Cider Vinegar and Tea Tree Oil helps too.
