My Luck Stinks!

I have got to have the worst luck when it comes to health issues.  I got up this morning (early even which is unlike me), was making the beds and….my back went out!  Just from making the bed!  And worse yet, it is only two days until we leave for Florida.

My husband is going to have a fit!  For the past month he has been on me to take it easy and I have been a very good girl.  I haven’t been doing anything strenuous, no excessive housecleaning – nothing extra.

It takes so little for my body to act up.  I called the doctor and said, “Help!  I need drugs for this back pain!  I have to be able to walk when we go to Florida!”  Of course, they have to get their money so I have to go see her today.  They won’t prescribe anything without seeing their patients now – new rule.

I have Darvocet, which I take for CFS & Fibro pain, but it takes a lot to knock this kind of pain out of me.   They better prescribe the good stuff!

Sorry to hear you’re not doing well – especially now. Good luck at the doctor.

Hi there, sorry to hear about your back. Have you ever tried high dose of Motrin (600-800mg)? I have a herniated disc that acts up occasionally, and a high dose of Motrin seems to work better than narcotics….probably because it’s an anti-inflammatory so while acting as a pain reliever it is also helping the problem. Obviously you shouldn’t take this much Motrin without running it by your doctor first….but it’s just a thought….sometimes the simplest answer is the best, right?

Anyway, I came across your blog today and I wanted to let you know that I have a blog called “Living With Chronic Fatigue Syndrome”….I have a blogroll of others suffering with CFS or FM that are also blogging….and I added this site to it…..hope that is o.k. I would love for your to check it out, and let me know what you think.

    Feel better,
    Catherine

Hi Katherine! Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, Motrin and others like it don’t help. It usually takes a lot to knock out my pain. The doctor did give me a narcotic, but it also includes an anti-inflammatory.

I will add your site to my blogroll here today! Thanks!
