My 40th Birthday Today & Vascular Surgery

The insurance company must have approved my surgery because I am scheduled to be at the hospital at 9:15 a.m. today.  I was joking yesterday at work that I would get to spend my 40th birthday high and unconscious.  I wasn’t looking forward to turning 40 anyway so I might as well be miserable, doped up and in pain! 

I haven’t been sleeping again and I’m worried that it will take my body a long time to recover from surgery because of being wore down due to lack of sleep.  I will post on the outcome of the surgery once I’m up to it.  I don’t know if I will feel like it tonight or if it will be tomorrow.
