Many times success is based on how much money we have or on the material things we possess or our status within the community. For those of us with chronic pain, success can be defined in terms of our ability to cope with our pain and regain control of our lives. With this definition, we are all successful. We have turned what seemed to be an impossible situation for us into a new way of living. Some have returned to work, some have gained a better understanding of themselves, and others continue to seek out their goals and dreams… Whatever our case may be, we must remember we have already succeeded. For today we have taken back our lives.
