Mother-In-Law Still Not Well

My mother-in-law, who had colon cancer, is still not doing well. She is down to 106 pounds and she had to quit her chemotherapy after only 4 sessions. She ended up back in the hospital recently and she has been out for 3 weeks now. The doctor said that she should have had most of her energy back by now.

When she was in the hospital she weighed 114 pounds, so she has lost quite a bit over the past few weeks. My sisters-in-law and I have been preparing food for her and I stayed with her a day the other week. I am in charge of her dinner tomorrow night.

She had a doctor’s appointment on Monday and they were going to run blood tests to see if any cancer showed up. I haven’t heard anything yet.

Thanks, Ruth & Sophia. My MIL is 83 years old and she has always been very active. She could never stand being home and not having anything to do. She was always on the go and now she doesn’t want to do anything, she doesn’t want to go anywhere. I hope she perks up again.
