I changed the theme because I didn’t like how the other theme was laid out. The headers for each post were too close to the categories from the previous posts and the font appeared rather small.

For right now I am going with this theme until I find one I like. I have two questions for anyone who is experienced in WordPress:

1. How do I get the comments to show up in the sidebar?

2. I would like to go to a 3-column theme but the ones I have tried my pages and blogroll don’t show up for some reason. Why?

I don’t think your current theme supports “widgets” (thats the easiest way to change the sidebar).

If I were you, install a theme that is widget ready (from themes.wordpress.net) and go to the options on that theme (just under “Presentation”).

That way you can find a theme a little more original than this, and you’ll be able to decide what gets shown the the sidebar (including comments and blogrolls etc).

Hi Coops, I changed the theme to this one. It’s called “Red Roses”. I still can’t figure out how to get the comments to show up on the sidebar though.

I haven’t tried this wordpress plugin but I have used their plugins on other blogs – I don’t have enough comments on my latest blog to justify a recent comments plug in but try this one:

As for the theme – You start with the column or layout you want then add widgets, plug ins created for wordpress.

Hi Tammy! Thanks so much! I will try this tomorrow.

Sorry to hear that you have Fibromyalgia. It’s rough, I know.

Thanks so much for the help! As you can see, I have “recent comments” in my sidebar now!
