The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate between 1 million and 4 million Americans have chronic fatigue syndrome. It is a condition marked by extreme fatigue that cannot be remedied with rest. At least 25 percent percent of those are unemployed as a result of the disease. Less than 20 percent of people with chronic fatigue syndrome in the U.S. have been diagnosed, according to the CDC. As with other autoimmune disorders, the cause is unknown. This is the story of one woman’s struggle with the condition.

Model Bianca Embley has posed nude for a charity calendar to raise funds for Fibromyalgia, a human disorder classified by the presence of chronic widespread pain. The former stewardess herself is crippled by Fibromyalgia, but has opted to put up a brave front by posing nude for the charity.
The Bellevue Hospital and the Northeast Ohio Arthritis Foundation are teaming together to offer an arthritis and fibromyalgia support group. The Bellevue Area Arthritis/Fibromyalgia Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12 at 7 p.m. in conference room A at the hospital.
