Dermatologist Says All Moles Benign!

I am back from the dermatologist and………..HE SAID I HAVE NO SUSPICIOUS MOLES OR MARKS! I am so happy! I was scared to death that what my family doctor said was melanoma and I had this gut wrenching feeling that something was really wrong, but he said everything looked benign.

The one mark on my lower right leg – the one my doctor thought was not a mole – he said was a normal mole. It is just different from my other moles on my body. He did a full body exam and told me what to watch for and how to examine my body.

He did comment on the amount of sun damage I have to my skin and he wants me to regularly check my body because of this. I feel so much relief now!

I am glad everything looks ok. I just had biopsies on two moles and was so nervous about the results. Fortunately, they came back as normal.

Not to scare you but just because the doctor says they look benign doesn’t make it so. I had a mole that did not look anything like the pictures. The doctor did not want to remove but I insisted. It came back positive for melanoma. I caught it early at stage 1 so I have a good survival rate. I would go somewhere else and have them removed just to be sure.
