Accomplishing Chores – How To Get It Done

First, if you are chronically ill and reading this, just the word “chores” is probably making you tired!  Don’t fret – I have a tip to share that works for me in helping me get things done!

I can no longer clean my entire house in one day – those days are long gone.  What I do now is clean one room a day and it takes me a week, but it gets done.

Also what I do is as I am going through my day at home, anything that I see that needs done I make a list in a notebook.  THE KEY IS WRITING IT DOWN AS SOON AS YOU SEE SOMETHING THAT NEEDS DONE.  OTHERWISE, WITH YOUR FIBRO FOG, YOU WILL SOON FORGET ABOUT IT!

Then, as I feel up to it, I will go to my list and pick a chore off of the list and complete it.  Some days I can only do one chore, other days I might be able to do two or three small ones.  I never tackle the big ones alone, though.

So, get out your pen, paper and start going through the house – you will also feel a great sense of accomplishment as you are able to cross things off your to do list!
