National Invisible Chronic Illness Awareness Week is the week of September 1 – 16, 2007.
The National Invisible Chronic Illness Awareness Week is held every year in September and it is a worldwide effort to bring together people who live with invisible chronic illness and for their families.

What is an invisible illness?
There are many diseases out there today that can be put in the “invisible illness” category. Some of these include Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Interstitial Cystitis, Diabetes, heart disease, chronic pain, cancer, eating disorders, mental illness and depression.
